 Come see a very traditional parade from the Edo period recreated in Tsurugawa. Over 108 women are dressed like brides with their faces painted to resemble foxes in this Fox Bride Procession. (You can even get your face painted from 10am to 5pm for about 600Yen!)

 Come to Yahiko to see court music and dances performed by both adults and children from 10am to 2:30pm in front of the beautiful Yahiko Shrine.

 Come to the Bunsui Oiran Parade to see dazzling courtesans with an overwhelming number of attendants as well as cherry blossoms. This parade runs from 12:30 to 3:00 pm.

 Come to this year's Spring Niigata Soh Odori to enjoy the Spring version of Niigata's Dance Festival (held in September). This event will be held at Ryutopia and consists of two parts: Dance groups from Niigata and other prefectures (1,000Yen) and an artistic production, film, and geta shoe dance (2,500). Get your geta on and enjoy the show!

The 13th Annual Murakami Machiya Doll Festival

 Visit Murakami to see over 4,000 Girl's Day dolls on display throughout Murakami. Many old houses and shops will open up for doll viewing between March 1st and April 3rd.

 Spring has officially sprung which means its time for... Hanami!

Check out the Cherry Blossom Report for more details on where and when you can see these beautiful trees around the country.
